About the designer
Terence Conran
Terence Conran is one of the world’s best known designers. He founded Benchmark with Sean Sutcliffe over 30 years ago and our workshop and showroom are situated in the grounds of his country home. He often says that Benchmark is the business that is closest to both his home and his heart.

The Leading Light was one of our first product launches and it continues to be popular. The table and light combination make it a flexible choice especially for smaller spaces. Originally launched with a pleated shade, we now offer a plain version in a choice of black or ivory. We also offer the shades in bespoke fabrics to suit your scheme.
